Alastair Seeley has made it a stellar North West 200 in 2017 with a fourth victory, and 21st in his career, by claiming the win in the Saturday Superstock race which was prematurely ended by rain.

A thrilling five-rider battle between Tyco BMW duo Seeley and Ian Hutchinson, Rutter on the Bathams/SMT Racing BMW, Lee Johnston on the East Coast Construction Kawasaki and Peter Hickman on the Smiths Racing BMW was cut short by rain with red flags eventually shown at the end start of the fifth lap.

Hutchinson grabbed the holeshot only to run wide at York and be shuffled back to fourth and a titanic battle swung between the evenly-match contenders.

Despite the race running into a fifth lap with spots of rain getting heavier the race was taken back to the end of lap four which saw Seeley called the winner having crossed the line in the lead from Hutchinson and Rutter.
