Surely a typo? Shouldn't it read "Valentino Rossi: 20th in current MotoGP standings"?

He'll need every penny of it when he's buying next year's ride.

I don't think he'll need every penny of it, not just yet. Yamaha have a massive talent pool, but Honda and Ducati are both short of stock on 'Class of 2013 Title Contenders'. Ducati need the bike, and know it to retain Rossi. Honda, as much as it'd pee them off, might just need Vale to put up a serious defense against Jorge next year.

The BIG piece of the jigsaw is how good the revised Duke is for Laguna, but rumours are saying it's just revised internals in the same L4 package again, which isn't going to help Vale anytime soon.

As much as I think it pains both sides, Vale needs Honda and Honda needs Vale, at least for 2013 anyway...
