A MARCO Simoncelli tribute Honda Fireblade has raised over £40,000 on eBay.

Unveiled in a special and emotional ceremony the Fireblade was donated by Honda and the paintjob designed by Aldo Drudi; inspired by the memorable Super-Sic colours.

The bike was auctioned off on eBay to raise money for the Marco Simoncelli Foundation and attracted 190 bids, with a final winning bid of 50,110 Euros (£40,287 approx).

Marco Simoncelli was a promising and rising star in MotoGP who was tragically killed at Sepang last year.

Fair do's its for charity and i'm all for that, but its a white fireblade with a 58 stuck on the side, couldn't they have come up with something a little more imaginative?
