YAMAHA team boss Davide Brivio is looking for a rider to replace Rossi but says that if it were up to Yamaha alone, they'd not replace him at all.

MotoGP rules state that Rossi needs to be replaced by Barcelona. MotoGP pundit Julian Ryder reckons that it won't be a current MotoGP rider and will most likely be Yuki Takahashi who is currently riding for Tech3 in the Moto2 class.

Last year Takahashi rode in MotoGP for Scot Honda before being dumped by the team when Gabor Talmacsi turned up with a suitcase packed with sponsor's cash.

What a bloody poor attitude by Yamaha , a small enough grid without one of the main bikes missing.

They should get the best available rider from within the Yamaha family and get them on it immediately, at best Rossi won't be back until the last two races in October so it would give a rider 11 rounds to do what he can to impress while giving FIAT some return on their investment.
