FOLLOWING A SERIES of tests on a WSB Yamaha R1 Valentino Rossi will announce tomorrow whether he will race at Sachsenring.

The 2009 MotoGP Champion will have more x-rays on his broken leg before making the announcement on Wednesday, speaking on the subject Rossi said: “We haven't made the final decision yet, I need to have some more x-rays on Wednesday and then my doctors and I will consider whether I can ride at Sachsenring.”

The two tests onboard the Sterilgarda Yamaha R1 have seen Rossi ride at Misano and Brno, with the latter test seeing the Fiat Yamaha rider lap quicker than former superbike champion, James Toseland.

Rossi is gradually healing from the injuries sustained after highsiding his M1 Yamaha at Mugello in June: "I felt better than in Misano but I still feel quite tired after a few laps and a race will be a much bigger question."

“Once I'd understood my physical condition today, I had great fun riding the R1 and even did some work on the settings! I want to say a big thank you to the WSB Team for staying on here another day and making this test possible for me." concluded Rossi.
