American teenager was "too young" to be riding such fast bikes
REIGNING MOTOGP World Champion Valentino Rossi gave his thoughts on the death of teenage racer Peter Lenz, following a minute’s silence at Misano GP in honour of 13-year-old American. Lenz was killed last weekend at Indianapolis, while taking part in the MD250 support race. The event is open to riders as young as 12.
Lenz died after falling on the warm-up lap and getting struck by another competitor. “Thirteen is too young to be riding such fast bikes,” said Rossi, who was busy with minibikes at that age.
