VALENTINO ROSSI has joked that Carmelo Ezpeleta knows more than him as he remains committed to Ducati and making the Desmosedici competitive.
Answering questions on the rumours spread by the Dorna boss at the Valencia F1 race, where he said that Rossi would be on a 'competitive bike next season' and 'fighting for race wins', the Italian told GPOne.com: "I think this is only his idea, or maybe he knows more than me [laughs].
"I haven't requested a bike from either of those two manufacturers. My objective is to make the Ducati competitive and to continue with this team."
Rossi's contract with Ducati ends this year, which has sparked speculation that he will leave the Italian manufacturer after struggling with the Desmosedici. Silly season has so far had him attached with a return to both Honda or Yamaha for 2013.
