None of this will be going on in 2013, says Rossi

VALENTINO Rossi has said that there will be no wall dividing him and his team mate Jorge Lorenzo at Yamaha in 2013 and that Lorenzo is the number-one rider.

Speaking at Indianapolis, Rossi said: "Now the situation change a lot compared to the past, compared to 2008 when Jorge arrive to Yamaha. Now he's the No. 1 in the team, and our relationship are good. I have respect for him, and he have respect for me. So I think we can stay together. I am sure that together we can form a great team for Yamaha, for try to achieve good result in the next seasons.

Rossi then added, with a wry smile:"We will be very close with Jorge if he agrees."

Both Lorenzo and Rossi were full of praise and admiration for each other and it looked like it was more than just a well-rehearsed PR script.

Talking about being back in a team with Rossi, Lorenzo said: "For me it is a pleasure to be again with Valentino, two more years with the same bike. So for me, everything is positive. I always say the wall is a stupid thing. It doesn't make sense for anything. No wall is OK for me and I think for Vale this time."

When Rossi was asked whether he could win the championship on the Yamaha in 2013, he said: "In my condition now, especially you have to understand if I'm still a top rider, if I'm still fast, and if I can fight for the front row, if I can still fight for the podium. I don't know, because after two seasons like this, nobody knows. So before I speak about the championship, I have to understand if I can fight from the front row, I can fight for the podium. And after, we will see.”

I'm sure the wall will stay down as long as is suits Rossi. Lorenzo has a lot of data that will help him on his way and once that's all been taken i suspect that the friendship might start to go a bit cold. Smiling assassin seems to cover it....

Rossi has made both a strategic and tactical error. A career-threatening fuck-up...

Everyone else, burgess, (small `b`, his retirement is on tenterhooks) Yamaha (who?) et al are simply his bitches...

His future is dependent on beating Lorenzo. Locked, loaded...

2013 will be the most vicious GP season. Ever. He is nobody otherwise... Pedrosa may as well quit now.

I expect the viciousness to start around November.

2013 will be the nastiest GP season in history:. Cal will kill people to prove his point or else his career is over.

Make no mistake, 2013 = it's not sport, it's War.

Dovi is dead in this kind of environment. He thinks he's hard, he's gay in this environment. Cal has 12 mths to kick Rossi into history.

Fuck! Book seats now.

Well exactly Evil. This proves Rossi's dedication to the sport. Isn't that the 'heart' that armchair commentators like us ask for? Rossi passed up huge money to stay at Ducati, huge, seriously huge, which obviously shows he couldnt give a fuck about money anymore, he's got heaps. This is the characteristic of a brilliant person, dedicated to risking his life everyday just to have fun, which is to Rossi, having a chance of at least being competitive. It's all those sporting cliches tabloid journalists throw around like mud. Bravo to him for contacting Yamaha first, what a guy. Others can read into the condition of Rossi's move as they please, but who gives a fuck about them, they're negative twats. I for one couldn't care less if Rossi agreed for Lorenzo to drop his dacks and kiss his buttt cheeks in public, at least Rossi would make a funny scene out of it, because he's all class.
