ANOTHER piece of the silly season puzzle has come together as Dani Pedrosa will remain in the Repsol Honda team for another two seasons.

An agreement was reached for Pedrosa and HRC to renew for the 2013 and 2014 seasons and the deal is expected to be formalised at either Sachsenring or at Mugello next week.

"I'm ready to renew my contract," Pedrosa said yesterday. "I will either sign here at Sachsenring or a little later at Mugello."

Whilst Pedrosa has yet to win a race this season, he has shown consistency with six podiums out of the first seven races.

Pedrosa is expected to be joined by Marc Marquez in the factory squad after the Rookie Rule was abolished at Assen.

Can't wait to see Marc Marquez in MotoGP next year, there will be lots of crashes, lots of fast laps and lots of people with their noises out of joint, its going to be fun.

Do you think so mike? I'm a bit undecided so far, I've no doubt he's fast and I agree with the crashes bit. I think he'll get there but look at Jorges first few seasons - lots of crashes, ok he was never 'slow' but it took a few years.

I'm not so sure Mark is a Jorge yet either.

I dunno Rob, Marquez is the real thing. For sure. He'll crash a fair amount while he get's his head around it. But once he does, watch out. Anyway, pleased Dani's signed again. Still love his style, but even I'm gonna say its his last chance.

Hope Dani has a cracker this weekend. He's good round there.

I think he's the real thing, but not so sure he's upto Challenging Jorge until maybe 2014 at the earliest. I think given time, he'll be a champion, he has the talent to do it without doubt, but I reckon he'll get a few injuries along the way.

7 years on the top factory bike and no championships. I really dont see what hrc see in him. Repsol obviously see he's spanish. Imagine if Jonathan Rea got his ride, would probably be better to develop him than plunge millions into pedrosa who has nothing to show apart from 15 wins in 7 years.

Hasn't Honda said it won't have to spanish riders in its Works team ?

Completely agree Drapes. He has very little going for him. Doesn't look like winning a race ever again and is about as charismatic as a toilet brush. He should have been under the heat that Spies is getting years ago, and not survived it.

...just tucking into my freshly baked humble pie now. Well done Dani.

Typical of Pedrosa, though. Last-minute-dot-com. Can he build on this win?
