MOTOGP frontrunner Jorge Lorenzo will not be moving to Honda next year, ending speculation that the former 250cc World Champion was about to jump ship from Yamaha.

The news follows the announcement made by HRC president Tetsuo Suzuki that the company are to retain exisiting factory riders Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso for the next two seasons.

The announcement from Honda now means Lorenzo's bargaining power with Yamaha has been greatly reduced; the Spaniard has reportedly been seeking an increase in wages to match his team-mate, and eight-time World Champion, Valentino Rossi.
