BRIDGESTONE are introducing a new front tyre option to MotoGP.

The new tyre is designed to increase feel and warm-up performance, developed after Bridgestone analysed performance data and rider feedback.

Having been welcomed by MotoGP riders, the new tyre will replace the current front tyre from the sixth round at Silverstone round, however, limited numbers of the new tyre will be available at the next around at Jerez and then the following rounds Estoril, Le Mans and Catalunya in the build up to Silverstone.

At Jerez, all riders willbe allocated two of the new specification front tyres to increase their total allocation for the race weekend to eleven front tyres. The new specification tyre will only be made available in the harder compound option, as the greater durability this option provides makes it better suited for race use. At Silverstone, when the new specification front tyre becomes the standard, the front tyre allocation will return to nine tyres.

Listening to Spalders, Ryder and Moody on the Free Practice coverage and everyone apart from the Honda's liked it. Apparently it increased their chatter issues.
