2013 MotoGP calendar dates

DORNA the organisers and promoters of MotoGP have released their full and final MotoGP 2013 calendar dates.

The schedule has two changes from the previous version. The opening round at Qatar has been moved back a week and will now run on the 7th of April and the round that was due run in Argentina has been scrapped. Despite speculation there is no round in India or Russia but the second round will run in Texas at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

Round 2 - 21 April – Americas, Austin

Round 3 - 05 May – Spain (STC), Jerez de la Frontera

Round 4 - 19 May – France, Le Mans

Round 5 - 02 June – Italy, Mugello

Round 6 - 16 June – Catalunya, Catalunya

Round 7 - 29 June – Netherlands**, Assen

Round 8 - 07 July – Germany, Sachsenring

Round 9 - 21 July – United States***, Laguna Seca

Round 10 - 18 August – Indianapolis, Indianapolis

Round 11 - 25 August – Czech Republic, Brno

Round 12 - 01 September – Great Britain, Silverstone

Round 13 - 15 September – San Marino & Riviera di Rimini, Marco Simoncelli Misano

Round 14 - 29 September – Aragón, Motorland

Round 15 - 13 October – Malaysia, Sepang

Round 16 - 20 October – Australia, Phillip Island

Round 17 - 27 October – Japan, Motegi

Round 18 - 10 November – Valencia, Ricardo Tormo-Valencia

I might have to boycott the Austin round here in the states. Big business smashed the little guy on that one.

why is silverstone on so late in the year ??

4 races again in Spain, despite falling attendances in no small part due to the economic situation. I would love to see Spa back in the calender, it's an easy ride for most in Germany,Holland, France,Belgium and a good weekend for UK followers.Bound to get a big crowd.
