MotoGP 2012: Championship standings after Le Mans

Jorge Lorenzo recaptures championship lead after dominating in the wet French GP

JORGE LORENZO moved back into the lead of the MotoGP championship after a commanding win at a wet Le Mans.

The factory Yamaha rider now leads reigning champion, Casey Stoner by eight points in the standings. The second place finish for Valentino Rossi saw the Italian jump up the table to sixth place.

Wow, you could hear a pin drop in here this morning! It's all gone quiet, did I miss something? :)

Nah I only jest, it is nice seeing Rossi up there again though, I think he's going to start to like France!

Anyway, it WAS a wet race and it wont change the dry from from 6th-8th all other things being even.

Lets hope the upcoming tests and the Silverstone engine move things forward!
