What a crash fest. Can't remember seeing so many skilled experienced heads getting it so wrong. Yes the tyres were an issue but that was the same for all. Rossi uncharacteristically completely misjudged it, attacked too early (should have followed Stoner for a few more corners at least) was not close enough and went in too hot. Another donkey helmet perhaps? Once again we are reminded "you have to finish it to win it"

Brilliant Race, was jumping up and down on the couch watching Eurosport 2, they should hose down the track before every round. Makes entertaining viewing atleast.

Lots of action but most of it was down to people getting it wrong & again the top 3 separated by calendar sized time scales. A shame Rossi binned it taking out the championship leader... & a shame that of the 7 or 8 marshals that attended the incident only 1 gave any attention to Stoner until they had got Rossi going... they're supposed to be dedicated race fans not Rossifumi. A real shame Sideshow-Bob binned it from the lead but he was only 1 of many, including Rossi, who discovered the perils of pushing too hard in those conditions. The support races were as good if not better IMO... & well done to Bradley, Danny & Taylor!

loved it all ... great fun to watch and no one hurt....

Rossi was'nt actually trying to pass, he had to much speed and couldn't get round the outside of Stoner because there was no room, so instead of tail gating him, he could only go one way on the inside, just unfortunate. And The Doctor explain it himself.

"  The Doctor ", oh please! he's a GP racer, not a General Practitioner.

Then again, maybe he should see an eye specialist, cos' he can't see what's in front of him.

VR doesn't need to see an optician there was definately nothing noteworthy  ahead of him to see. There WAS a socially graceless Casey Stoner who's greatest assets are his brain and his mouth ... cue Cadbury Smash Mash Robots ad 0.21 secs in.

Simoncelli went down at exactly the same spot in exactly the same way, front went first on a dodgy bit off track?

Stoner slapping Rossi on his recovering right shoulder after he had just been down on it shows all the world watching just what a major league **** he really is!

Rossi came in fast, lost the front end, Casey was there, bummer for him. Spies, Sic and others were riding fast, lost front end, no one was there, no harsh criticism.

Watching the tape again, it looks like after the crash casey has his bike upright before the marshals even get there. So, right the guys help the one with a bike thats down. While that is happening, Casey is staddling his bike and back peddling to get clear for take off. The camera cuts to VR's rear mount camera and you see the marshals telling him to put his leg over the bike and all the sudden you see casey run into the right of VR. This makes me think that casey's bike was running, then he stalled it after hitting VR. So, if his bike was running, and he was straddling his bike, why would the marshals crowd around him to help him? It wasn't until VR roared off and casey was left behind could they probably hear that his engine cut and he was waving frantically to get them back. They rushed over to him so fast they nearly toppled him over trying to help! I don't think they were playing favorites.

At first I thought it was nasty that they would only help VR, but now I see that that wasn't the case.

Going to be a great season, great to see Hoper back!

Racing incident.... end of story.

Would Stoner have gone to Rossi's pit had the opposite occurred?

Shame would have made for interesting race... For once!!

But sad to say Stoner is a bad loser and his comment " More ambition than ability" to Rossi of all people shows what a jealous person he is.

Saying that I think he'll be champ this year.

Not a great Champion but Champion.

His final saving grace is his Missus is a corker!

God why is Stoner such a moaner its not as if Rossi took him out on purpose.

It's racing crashes happen, his action to the marshals wasn't exactly professional and his comment to Rossi afterwards was laughable.

Go on Rossi :-O

Is it no wonder that Stoner has so few fans, He continually moans about everything, it was a racing incident in an action packed race. VR showed how a champion should act and apologised immediately after the race, what does moaner do casts dispersions about Vale's talent. He has more talent than Moaner will ever get. Go Bradders!!!!!

In the tape, it is crystally clear Rossi are under the bike!! I see nothing wrong with the marshalls running to the man under the bike first before the guy was far away the bike and was actually running to his own bike!

I guess it is just a direct reflection to help out the one who may possibly be injured.

Stoner lost it uglily, the race and the fame!

H-G

Yes casey's a bit of a child but he was taken out through no fault of his own, which has got to be the most upsetting thing to a front runner (or anyone) and he was then pretty stupid in what he said to Rossi but at least he had a smile on his face and he pretended to be civil even if anger did get the better of him.

Imaging if it was Lorenzo!! He would have been straight in the HQ of FIM call for Rossi to be banned for life.

Everyone know Casey doesn't hide his emotions well and so all in all think it was a  fairly understandable reaction.

Prediction for Estoril:

27 lowsides at turn 6 while battling with 58.  Six marshalls appear.  Respol Honda restarts and 27 is back in the race just behind 14 and 17.  27 overtakes both down straight.  14 fights back immediately.  Tries to take 27 on the inside at turn 3.  Whoops!  14 lowsides taking 27 out!  Marshalls appear again.  Pramac Ducati starts.  Respol Honda doesn't.  27 DNF.

Top Three Finishers:  58, 26, 46

(27-Sto, 58-Sic, 14-DeP, 17-Abr, 26-Ped, 46-Ros)
