Lorenzo happy as rider No.2

"My objective is to try and win the world championship. I don't care if I am not the leader of the team"

MOTOGP SENSATION Jorge Lorenzo has said he's happy to stay as No.2 rider in Fiat Yamaha squad for 2010, but will be taking the fight to Valentino Rossi in future championship battles.

Pushed all the way by his team-mate in the 2009 championship, Rossi clinched his ninth riders' title after a series of ding-dong battles with team-mate Lorenzo. But although the Spaniard has much respect for the Italian maestro, Lorenzo is still very much aware of his effect on his team-mate:

"Valentino is a mythical rider and everything he does is very important and if he is worried about me, as his partner, it is because I am fast and not because I am finishing last," said Lorenzo. "I can't control what he thinks.

"But maybe I prefer it that Valentino stays in Yamaha because I can try and beat him on the same bike, so for me it is not a problem with our relationship or anything like that.

"My objective is to try and win the world championship. I don't care if I am not the leader of the team."

I'm in the Casey camp for next year, the Guys fast no doubt about it..

If not Casey thought it's gotta be Jorge, I say this cause I think now that there maybe 5 'Alien' riders I don't think Vale will deal with all the pressure too well. He did look like he was ready to snap on a few occasions this year.

Either way gonna be a very entertaining season.

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
