'WHAT [Cal Crutchlow] does is more hardcore than F1’, Lewis Hamilton has admitted, after he joined the MotoGP race winner on track.
Not that we didn’t know that already, but I digress.
In a video made by their mutual sponsor Monster Energy, four-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton joined Crutchlow in Southern California, where the pair took to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway on superbikes.
‘Cal invited me down for a day at the track,’ says Hamilton, in the minute-long short.
‘We're out here doing something completely different to what Lewis normally does and having some good fun,’ adds Crutchlow.
Hamilton is a keen motorcyclist, and is even endorsed by Italian manufacturer MV Agusta, and helped to create his own limited edition model, the F4 L44.
He is also a big fan of two-wheeled racing, although admits that the discipline is on a different level to his own.
‘What's [Cal] does is more hardcore than F1,’ the 33-year-old said.
‘The speeds these guys do, it's insane. I'll be back here pushing. The back end has been sliding out. Now I'm hooked.’
So now we've seen Hamilton on a superbike, is Crutchlow about to get behind the wheel?
