TAIL-OUT specialist Garry McCoy has parted company with Italian racing team FB Corse, effectively ending the pair's unfruitful MotoGP partnership.
The team, directed by Andrea Ferrari, were aiming to join the MotoGP series with their three-cylinder 800cc bike, built using technology from the now defunct BMW MotoGP squad.
From what we can gather, FB Corse weren't developing their bike at a fast enough pace for McCoy, who's itching to get back into top-flight racing:
"After spending the last 4 months training at top level, today I am at my best mentally and physically to race. My goal is to come back to the World Championship. I thought that FB Corse was ready to do the step, but they haven't accomplished the needs till now required," said the Australian.
Mmmm. An experienced MotoGP rider looking for a vacant slot to show his worth.
