Is Rossi's team manager also set to defect to Ducati?
DAVIDE BRIVIO - team manager for Valentino Rossi at Fiat Yamaha - has unofficially announced he will leave Yamaha MotoGP at the end of 2010.The news comes following Rossi's announcement that he will leave the Yamaha squad to join Ducati MotoGP in 2011.Brivio has already hinted he may get involved in managing upcoming, young riders, like repsected motorcycle racing manager Charles Pernat, however, nothing yet has been officially announced. "I would not mind following in the footsteps of Charles Pernat," said Brivio. "I think this will be my future work. In addition to Yamaha has closed a chapter of history, and I would not have much to give." Naturally, rumours are gathering momentum that Brivio will follow Rossi to Ducati in 2011. If it's in the pipeline, Brivio will be keen to keep that under his hat for as long as possible in order to be kept in the loop at Fiat Yamaha for the remainder of the season.
