Hoping to see the RSV4 in MotoGP? You're going to be disappointed
APRILIA technical director Luigi dall'Igna has scuppered rumours the Italian company will race in MotoGP when the series returns to 1000cc engines in 2012.Speaking to MotoSprint, dall'Igna Said:"To race in a world championship with a bike that is not on the same level as our rivals is not the right spirit to face such an important commitment, so I think that in 2012 we won't be in the world motorcycling elite, and we won't participate in MotoGP."Aprilia last competed in MotoGP in 2004, with the ill-fated Cube RS3. The company won the 2010 World Superbike Championship with former 250cc World Champion Max Biaggi.

Apparently, it was kicking out 260bhp on a testbed, but hand zero front end feel and wheelie the moment you looked at the throttle....
