LATEST MOTOGP RUMOURS have linked Abu Dhabi's swanky Yas Marina Circuit to join the MotoGP calendar in the near future, possibly as early as 2011.
The circuit, which hosted the final round of the 2010 Formual One Championship is seriously being considered for a future MotoGP event:
“We are working on for 2012," Richard Cregan, Chief Executive Officer of Yas Marina Circuit, told emirates247.com.
"It’s not confirmed yet, but we are working on that with MotoGP. The circuit may have to have some work on the curves but this is normal."
Losail circuit, Qatar, is the only other Middle East circuit on the 2011 MotoGP schedule.
Naturally, the decision surrounding Yas Marina will be all down to the folding stuff; something they're not exactly short of in Abu Dhabi.
