David Johnson joins Two Brothers Racing to form new team racing the BSB Evo class onboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R
Two Brothers Racing have been involved in racing since 1985 and now 25 years on they will launch their British Superbike team with Becsport racing and David Johnson.
David Johnson will debut the new one-man team in the BSB Evo class riding a Kawasaki ZX-10R at Cadwell Park on the 23 May.
TBR have been supporting a team of four riders so far in the 2010 season and now part way through the season Johnson has decided to join a new brand focussed one rider team.
Speaking on the new challenge with TBR, DJ said: “I am stoked to be riding for Two Brothers Racing, the guys there have gone out of their way to get the bike prepared and ready for Cadwell, and it’s such an awesome name to be supported by.”
DJ will be supported in the garage by Martyn Phillips (BSB veteran and Formula one technician). Martyn will be backed up by his right hand man Bill Davies - who together are not only experts in their field but have followed DJ throughout his BSB career.
Commenting on the new partnership, Nicky Jimenez from TBR said: “This is such a great chance for us to get TBR out there, and to have a rider as fast as DJ is awesome. He currently holds multiple lap records around Australian circuits, and he’s a great guy to work with.”
David Johnson is currently running in fourth place in the Mirror.co.uk Evo standings. For more information on Two Brothers Racing visit www.juicypipes.com.
