THE postponed British Superbike race from Brands Hatch has been rescheduled to take place at Oulton Park on Sunday 6 May.

The second race was cancelled due to poor weather conditions and track contamination to the Indy circuit.

Moving the race to the May Bank Holiday meeting means the third round of the 2012 season will be a triple header, with two further races on the Monday.

The race will take place in the afternoon after qualifying, with the riders lining up in the grid positions that were intended for the race at Brands Hatch and Tyco Suzuki's Alastair Seeley starting from pole position.

MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs said: "It was hugely disappointing that we had to postpone the second Superbike race at Brands Hatch last weekend. We evaluated all possible rescheduling options and determined that it will take place at the next round of the championship at Oulton Park over the May Bank Holiday weekend."
