DOUBLE BSB champion Ryuichi Kiyonari will make a dramatic return to the grid at Croft this weekend (11/12/13 April), with HM Plant Honda calling up their former BSB ace and current World Superbike rider to replace Glen Richards.
'Kiyo' was victorious for the team in the battle for title supremacy back in 2006 and 2007 when he held off the challenges from both of the Airwaves Ducati riders to take Honda to two consecutive BSB championship wins.
The Japanese ace has an impressive history at Croft, HM Plant's home round, with Kiyo standing on the top step in 2005 and 2006 before securing the winning double from team-mate Jonathan Rea in 2007 before moving on to WSB.
Kiyo said: "I'm really excited to be riding for the HM Plant Honda team again. I'm also very happy to race in BSB and especially at Croft. I love this circuit and won both races when I last raced there in 2007."
The HM Plant Honda team are now eager for Kiyo to pick up where he left off at the end of the 2007 season; taking the challenge to the GSE Racing team
