INJURED FRENCH BSB rider Sylvian Guintoli is aiming to make a comeback to the British Superbike Championship before the end of the season.

The Worx Crescent Suzuki man was badly injured during qualifying at Donington Park over two months ago. Guintoli suffered a fractured tibia and fibula in his right leg, which was subsequently plated and screwed in a long and technically difficult operation.

In an interview with French mag Motorevue, Guintoli has said that although the fracture to his leg was serious he's hoping to be back on the BSB scene within the next few weeks.

Airwaves Ducati rider Leon Camier currently leads the championship with 299.5 points
