Faulty fuel filter dashes Rutter's hopes

Petrol all over the rear tyre, Michael? That'll be the cause of your massive slides then

WORRYING news from the MSS Colchester Kawasaki squad after their bike was stripped down following the Brands Hatch meeting, following Michael Rutter's trouble-plagued weekend.

It appears the bike’s external fuel filter split and was dumping neat fuel all over the back tyre; not ideal on a 200bhp Superbike.

Rutter, standing in for the injured Simon Andrews, was forced out of the first race after a couple of huge slides out on the GP part of the track.

Chris Martin suffered serious injuries in the Supersport 600 race when his Kawasaki's rear end locked solid at one of the fastest parts of the track. Rutter was lucky not to have suffered a similar fate.

Ooh, yer bugger!
