Nottinghamshire rider thrown last-minute deal to ride ex-Rutter GSX-R1000
RACING VETERAN Chris Walker has been thrown a lifeline to race a privately-run Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the first round of the British Superbike championship.Walker will race a Ray Stringer-prepared ex-Michael Rutter GSX-R1000. It isn't clear whether Walker's team has the funding to compete in the entire BSB championship.The Nottinghamshire rider finished 9th in the 2009 British Superbike Championship, bagging 141 points for the Motorpoint/Henderson Yamaha squad.
