‘Luckiest’ rider of the weekend at Brands Hatch must have been Gearlink Kawasaki Supersport rider Chris Martin.
Martin crashed his blisteringly fast ZX-6R Kawasaki at the equally quick Hawthorne bend during the Supersort race.
After cartwheeling and sliding his way across the expansive gravel trap he then slammed into the tyre wall, bounced high into the air, cleared the barrier and landed, hard, in the shrubbery. "He’s got a suspected broken ankle but he’s OK," said a team member. And an awful lot of bruising we’d suspect.
