BSB: Tommy Hill to ride Worx Suzuki at Mallory

Former WSB man nudges out Michael Rutter as Worx Crescent Suzuki seek results

WSB EXILE Tommy Hill is to ride for the Worx Crescent Suzuki team at the next round of the British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park on 17-19 July.

Hill is to replace veteran ace Michael Rutter, who has been standing in for French rider Sylvian Guintoli over the last three meetings. Guintoli was put out of action earlier in the season after he was punted off by HM Plant Honda rider Josh Brookes, in the third round of the championship at Donington Park.

Hill recently left the World Superbike scene after parting company with Althea Honda.

Team manager, Jack Valentine said: "I'd firstly like to thank Michael for his efforts since Sylvain's unfortunate injury. Michael did a good job for us, getting two front row starts out of three, while running strong lap times. However, we need to convert good qualification into strong race finishes and we believe Tommy has the ability to do this. After completing 45 laps around Mallory Park on the Worx Crescent Suzuki today, he impressed the whole team and on top of his obvious talent, has a good attitude so should fit in well."

They should run a sweepstake as to who will bin it first..... Karl Harris or Tommy Hill. If theres two things in life guaranteed, night follows day and those two fall off. haha Rutter might not be spectacular but at least he stays on (sometimes).

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
