WSB exile makes return to home race series, replacing Michael Rutter at Worx Suzuki
TOMMY HILL says he can't wait to bash elbows again when he makes his return to the BSB scene at the next round of the championship, which takes place this weekend at Mallory Park.
Hill has yet to try the full electronics package on the Worx Crescent Suzuki he will be riding in this weekend’s round of the ViSK British Superbike Championship.
The former World Superbike Honda rider has already completed 40 laps on the bike in an open test session at the Leicestershire track last Wednesday, but has admitted that he hasn’t used anything like the full electronics package on the GSX-R1000K9.
“We just wanted to get me used to the bike, sort out things like riding position and gearing and then get to grips with how it feels, which is quite a bit different to the Honda I have been riding this year so far.
“But I’m very happy with the bike so far. There’s only so much you can learn from a test like we did but the team are so on it it’s unreal. They are moving mountains to make me feel at home and are brilliant to work with. We have a lot of work ahead of us when we get to the track at the weekend, but I feel at home on the bike and to say I can’t wait to get out there is a massive understatement. I can’t wait to be bashing elbows again in BSB.”
