HERE are the British Superbike Championship standings after the two-race season opener at a scorching hot Brands Hatch.

Tommy Hill and Shane Byrne took a win each. Tommy Bridewell took a third place in race one, while Stuart Easton's fourth and sixth put him third in the championship. John Hopkins doesn't make the top ten, despite a 5th place in Race 2. His crash at Druids in Race 1 meant he could only manage a 17th place finish - out of the points. Ryuichi Kiyonari's strong second place in Race 2 puts him fourth in the championship, his DNF in Race 1 has cost him vital points in the championship battle.
