MSS Colchester Kawasaki rider Simon Andrews should be back in action for the Bank Holiday Monday BSB meeting at Cadwell Park at the end of August.
Andrews was ruled out of the Brands Hatch meeting after having an operation in Belgium on his broken scaphoid bone, itself a legacy of a pre-season crash during testing.
But after the Mallory Park crash where Josh Brookes collided with Andrews at the Hairpin, the Kawasaki rider’s injury and recovery were set back.
Team boss Nick Morgan said: “Brands was just a bit too soon for Simon to come back after the operation and we had to take the longer-term view. He should be back at Cadwell Park and given our recent pace in the championship we’ll be looking for a strong couple of results.”
