Westminster 'parking attendant' faces sack over foul-mouthed rant

“Go and give that to your wife because I'll be f***ing her soon”

A WESTMINSTER COUNCIL parking attendant is facing disciplinary action after hurling four-letter abuse at a motorcyclist during a parking-related altercation in the West End.

The incident, seen here on video, shows the unnamed warden threatening management consulant Warren Djangoly, who said the abuse was “totally unprovoked”.

The clip shows the warden objecting to being photographed: “Don't be taking my picture,” he growls at the cameraman. “Go and give that to your wife because I'll be f***ing her soon.”

The 'warden' repeats the comment fore walking away.

“I was shocked when he swore at me but I didn't realise exactly what he said until I saw the video," said Mr Djangoly. "It's really quite appalling. It was also totally unprovoked.

"I only said to him not to bother giving me a ticket because I was going, and he got all aggressive, saying don't tell me what to do'.

“What came out of his mouth next was astonishing and absolutely outrageous. It's very concerning when someone says that to you, and it was really quite traumatising because there's the worry that these people have access to our records.”

Dr Leith Penny, Westminster's strategic director of city management, said: “Our parking attendants do a difficult and challenging job. However, Westminster council demands the highest standards from its parking staff and we do not tolerate this kind of behaviour which is clearly unacceptable.”

NSL spokesman Tim Cowen said the warden's language was “shocking” and an investigation had been launched.

He added: “The civil enforcement officer in question has been removed from the Westminster operation and suspended while that investigation takes place.

"Behaviour like this is not acceptable and would usually result in dismissal if the case is proven.”

Mr Djangoly is also the chairman of the No to Bike Parking Tax campaign.

Here in America, I would have been asked to apologize to the warden for asking him to refrain from giving me a parking ticket.

This traffic warden is a disgrace! Lets hope Westminster City Council and NSL Services do the right thing for once and fires this rude traffic warden.

Im sorry that you had to endure that type of shite. Never pleasant. Im not sticking up for these traffic wardens as abusive language is never right from anybody. BUT if you actually live in Westminster you may see things differently. I take it you don't.

On another note. I am having trouble with the Private taxi drivers are parking on the single yellow lines outside my place, as I live on the ground floor they all collect maybe 8 at a time outside my living room window. Without the constant contact to the Parking department of the Westminster Council we are trying to move these people on. It is essential to have these traffic wardens in my area which has now been specified as a high visit rate by the wardens. So unless you actually need these people they will always be your enemy. I know how you feel about the abuse as I had the taxi driver that I was trying to document his reg to tell me to 'Fuck me and Fuck my family' whilst he sits happily away on a restricted parking area. My point being that they are needed for us residents of Westminster, maybe you could park in the free NCP parking bays?

Anyway this has nothing to do with your post apart from the fact that they both involve traffic wardens. Most are quite pleasant some like this bottom feeder are obviously not!
