Australian Government come down hard on drugged-up law breaker
Watch helicopter footage of police as they pursue and capture a motorcyclist who clocked speeds of 200km/h.
Craig Douglas Thompson, 37, was riding a stolen motorcycle and under the influence of drugs when his antics were captured by a police helicopter.
Police released the video today - along with a lengthy statement explaining why and describing the incident.
During the footage Thompson is seen weaving through heavy traffic, crossing to the wrong side of the road, riding in the breakdown lane and driving through a number of red traffic lights on numerous occasions narrowly missing cars. At one stage he is even seen riding into the driveway of a property, where he falls off but before a police officer is able to catch him he manages to remount the bike and take off again despite a foot peg breaking off the machine.

So when Visordown news has the sub headline of
"For Christ's sake, don't get caught Down Under"
the first reaction is that Visordown news has sympathy for the guy.Is that condoning bike theft and riding whilst on drugs then - I'm a bit confused

If anyone nicked my bike and trashed it like that I'd expect a similar punishment. Thing is though, in this country he'd get a five minute ban and a big hug.
