Warning: this may put you off your bacon sarnie
IF YOU THINK the above video is a bit strong then just wait until you see Australia's latest road-safety video campaign due to be launched later this week. The Victoria state Government want to get across the message that motorcyclists come out second best in road smashes regardless of whether or not they are at fault.Statistics from the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) show that motorcyclists are 34 times more likely to die or be seriously injured on the roads than other motorists. The new advertisement warns riders against speeding and lane changing and urges them to wear protective clothing. It shows a motorcyclist falling onto the road and into the path of an oncoming truck. The video we've posted is one from the organisation's archive."The TAC wants Victorian motorcyclists to understand that regardless of who is at fault in a road crash, it will be the motorcyclist who will come out second best," the TAC's Phil Reed said."My message to riders is that there is no excuse for not wearing full protective clothing every time you ride."Should the UK Government start running hard-hitting campaigns like this?
Didn't know there were that many victorain bikes about.
I guess the Victorian motorcyclists probably come off bad due to their only head protection being moustache wax and a top hat.

Most motorcycle commuters (including Myself) riding into London seem to wear leathers or other bike gear. But this sort of message is especially valid for scooter/moped riders, many of whom seem to think they are immune to accidents or injury?
