A FEMALE POLICE motorcycle rider in Peru escaped with just a broken shoulder and bruising after she collided with an articulated lorry on a busy main road.

The near-fatal experience was captured by CCTV, as the female rider merged onto a busy highway. After being hit she narrowly misses the rear wheels of the multi-tonne machine.

Check the clip. The rider appears to be looking the wrong way as she joins the carriageway from a side road.

The woman, later identified as Sonia Nalvarte, was attended by medics who took her to hospital where she is expected to make a full recovery.
