KAWASAKI has revealed a one-off Ninja H2R customised specifically for drag racing.
The 296hp superbike was presented at the New York International Motor show for 11-time drag racing champion Rickey Gadson.
The customised bike features a new ‘Strong Arm’ swingarm from Adam’s Performance, increasing wheelbase from 56.5 inches to 67.5 inches for increased traction and stability off the start line.
Other upgrades include a carbon fibre BST rear wheel, a JRI rear shock used on Gadson’s race bikes, and a handlebar-mounted air shifter for push-button upshifts.
Gadson’s H2 has also lost its mirror-finish paintwork in favour of a more traditional Kawasaki green finish.
The custom bike recorded a quarter-mile time of 8.213 seconds with a speed of 166.48mph at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina.
