Take one perfectly good motorcycle, and...

OK, so Travis Pastrana has done something similar before but the footage in this video is well worth a look.

Base jumper Julio Munoz took three years planning this jump in the Chilean Andes. He flew all his kit and team in with a helicopter and launched himself off a huge cliff edge before free-falling 3000ft with his motorcycle plummeting to the ground below him.

Munoz says that he hoped the stunt would give Chile some good exposure.

no parachute for the bike then?

I'd have thought he could have kept the bike handlebars tucked under his feet...

Shame to waste a good bike.

Agree - a waste of a bike

Got to agree. What was the point of that? Not really that demanding was it? Reckon I saw James Bond do it better on skis back in the day!

And now that valley's littered with bike bits. Chilean government, please fine this waster.

I can't wait to see what nice piece of machinery will he wreck next to avoid having to run up that gentle slope.

I hope they went and picked up all the bits of bike?

What a dick. Nothing great about that stunt except a bit of self gratification. Waste of money, time and a pretty good bike.

I would of stuck with the bike, parachuted down then drove away. What a waste of a machine, not to mention polluting the beautiful Andes. They made their money off of what ever sponser paid for this stupidity. A insult to the environment, biking and base jumping. Schmucks!
