LAST year uber-rich TV host and car/bike fanatic Jay Leno was nearly caught up in a massive accident on the annual Love Ride, a charity fund-raising run in California.

Now, on the anniversary of the accident, celebrity news site TMZ has released footage which it says was taken by the rider who was blamed for causing it. While there seems to be some confusion over the whole matter when it comes to blame, what's abundantly clear is the spectacular lack of spacial awareness and riding skills on display.

Although nobody was killed in the crash, another seemingly unconnected accident on the same stretch of road shortly afterwards did lead to the death of one rider and his pillion.

"By the rider who was blamed for causing it"?

Pretty sure he's not the one who just slammed that bagger up the arse.

My brief experience of Californian highways is that they should run snowploughs along them constantly to shunt all the wrecks off. The standard of driving/riding was just appalling, we really do have it quite good in Soviet UKistan.

just came back from a florida holiday, and after driving there i can say that this does not suprise me, very few people wearing lids or any protective gear on zx10r's etc and you are allowed to overtake/undertake in any lane sometimes up to 6 lanes per side of the road!

Change the story. You're slandering a rider who did nothing wrong. The one who took this video neither caused the crash nor contributed to it. In fact, they were composed and did a good job of staying out of the accident.

Slander is spoken, when it's written down it's libel,so ends my lesson for today.
