2010 Mad Sunday crash caught on camera

Throttle-happy punter gets it wrong big-style

TALK ABOUT MAKING a tit of yourself.

The rider with the onboard camera has hardly got out of the coned section leading up onto the Mountain part of the 37.73 TT course when he's overtaken by an overeager punter on an old Aprilia V-twin.

Watch as Johnny Hotshot gets it all wrong and almost takes the camera bike with him.

Police made him sweep the road afterwards, so it seems he got away with it.

Check out this Aprilia RSV4 Isle of Man crash video.

Target fixation anyone? At least on motorbikes stupidity usually IS painful.

Wouldn't wish the guy too much pain but he was a dickhead who nearly took out at least one innocent too...

!"£$%^&*(

A bit like the boys who go to Brands on their R1's with their paddock stands and tyre warmers - and bust a bollock to get around in under 1.05 !!!

To a LOT of blokes it's more about looking like Valentino Rossi than actually learning to ride their bike to anywhere near it's potential. Looks good when they park up though and I'm sure that's the main thing.

I hope he just scared himself silly and will now ride within his limits - you don't often get a second chance with bikes.

Is it just me or does anyone else find these posts & threads a little unsavoury?

I note there's no mention of the bloke's injuries, condition etc. in the text. Looks to me like the bloke got pretty banged up & without taking the moral high ground it seems more than a little callous to plaster the page with insults and snap-judgements about the guy's riding abilities and character.

No it's not unsavoury,if you go to youtube and read the comments there,it says the police made the guy clean up the mess and brush the road. Don't think they would have done that if he had been badly injured.

pie master - get a grip mate.

Luckily his actions didn't cost the poor guy with the camera a few months of work with a broken leg !

It's all about context though innit

When you know he's alright it seems almost obligatory to take the p..s, but the text didn't say any of that (perhaps it should?).

Didn't want to make anyone feel bad - but don't you reckon it's better to let folks know the full story (cheers for the info by the way PM)?
