BIG names from AMA Supercross go shoulder-to-shoulder this weekend in the unique, ‘unwound’ rhythm section Supercross event, the Red Bull Straight Rhythm.

The two-lane, head-to-head battle, effectively an SX track straightened out, pitches riders to race in pairs for quickest times in a knockout contest.

HRC Honda’s Ken Roczen is a notable absentee, particularly given his Red Bull sponsorship deal, but the Red Bull KTM team’s AMA Supercross champ Ryan Dungey and Marvin Musquin (pictured) head the bill.

This year’s track sees riders out of view until the flag drops, a feature which has proved popular with the riders and fans.

The half-mile course features three steep-faced jumps to slow up the flow and, in theory, bring the riders back together.

The event format runs across one day and night, much like Supercross events, which means the final runs take place under lights.

Get ready to get up early (or stay up!) and tune into Red Bull TV from 1:00am on Sunday BST.
