Honda Racing Corporation have released a video showing an on-track demonstration of their entry for the new Moto3 class.
The single cylinder NRS250 (or Next Racing Standard) would appear to be at the forefront of the 125cc replacement series with the appearance of the bike in testing at a Japanese circuit.
Although still a year away until the new rules come in to effect, the Moto3 championship is already blossoming with a variety of new machines revealed for the four-stroke series. In recapping the machines will all be limited to a single cylinder 250cc four-stroke engine with a maximum bore of 81mm, with each engine required to last a minimum of three races and ultimately remaining within a €12,000 budget.
The video offers the first aural impression for the two-stroke Grim Reaper. With the 990s and 600cc Moto2 signaling the death of the two-stroke goldern age, fans likened the new dawn to tractors, but overall the racing standard hasn't declined too much and there is a fantastic historical archive of Grand Prix racing to rely on when monotony strikes.
What are your views of this first glimpse in to the future and the final nail in the coffin for GP two-strokes?
