Two Brothers’ exhausting Hyosung bits

Bling up your Hyosung now!

Visordown Motorcycle News

IF YOU needed proof that the Hyosung range is gaining a bit of cred, check out the Two Brother’s range of bolt on exhaust bits for the firm’s GT650R Comet.

The tidy extra just bolts on as a direct replacement for the original part for 5bhp more and an as yet non-disclosed weight saving.

Was talking to a guy today who has just trackdayed his at Brands and loves it...all he has done is change the end can and the brake pads..has done thousands of miles without fault or breakdown and having looked at it I cant see that its any worse than the SV 650 for build quality ( especially sing Hyosung make many components for the big 3 Jap manufacturers..) I think people spoke like this about Jap bikes in the 60's and look what happened there..

I certainly wouldnt rule one out especially their new naked bike

Fair do's, but having  'HYOSUNG' scrawled all over one's petrol tank, just doesn't cut it somehow does it.

Not quite like say 'Ducati' etc.

I don't think there'll be many gasps of "Ooh look, a Hyosung" heard in High streets anytime soon.

i think hyosung's look pretty cool and they seem to be of good quality IMHO. I would definately consider one. I dont care much for people saying "oh, look a Hyosung". if its in budget, looks good, rides good and has good build quality, i'll go for it.

I dont suppose many people gasped "ooh look a suzuki " back in 1967..but people bought them because they did the job well for a better price than the competition.. I think Hyosung are likely to do the same...and if they do go tits up ( unlikely as they have been in business donkeys years..) you will have another rarity like owning an old brit bike

BTW listening to the guy today, the thing it had that a Ducati doesn't is realability, plus a £150 major service...if I was after a commuter I would buy one in preference to a Duke and pocket the 2 or 3k price differential to make up for being mocked

i purchased my hyosung gt 250r 2 years ago. i have put 21000 miles on it as it is my only transportation and i have had no problems at all. I cant  think of any other bike on the market that can be bought at such a low price, get 80 miles to the gallon, look this great, and be insanely bullett proof to run. my dealer has been wonderful to work with and keeps  me coming back, just to have coffee and shoot the breeze. i am saving my money so i can up grade to a 650 ,however i am going to get a cruiser this time. So ,to all the folkes who are putting hyosungs down, all i can say is, get used to seeing them because their great bikes and also try rideing one sometime i ll bet you ll buy it.            silverback

I seriously considered the GT650R - just got no dealers near me so wouldn't risk parts availability. I like the way the headlight looks. Mind there isn't a lot in price difference compared to a new SV, something like £500, the Hyosung feels bigger IMO, and more comfortable for me - travelled 300 miles to sit on one.

Good point with the 'Japs in the 60's' comparison and look at the Korean cars now. Hyundai compete on nearly all levels with the Fords, Toyotas, VWs of this world... and beat them on price.

they're still let down by being a bit plasticky inside though.

Diversion

I have just had the GT650 for a couple of days... feels cheap, is very light but handles well... 2 year warranty too.

My only bug was the price - not cheap enough to get a grip on the entry level market IMO.

Another £6-800 and you can get a hornet or the yam xj6...

i have a few friends that bought 125 hyosung and to say the least can not ride them anymore because the frame is so corroded with rust that they would probably snap at the sniff of an indent in the road. i do have to say the new naked bike looks pretty nice though! maybe the quality is better on the bigger ones?? and also while we are on this point CCM 125's have poor resistance to frame corrosion and they are a British make!! although saying that they source most of their parts from the far east!!!

There are hardly any bikes really up to UK's salty winters.  You need to oil them up.

Real Biker
They may take the place of Jap Crap but those in the know ride something Italian and un-reliable and wouldn't be seen dead on a Honzukizakiaha, let alone one of these.

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
