TCX has added two new sets of boots to its 2018 range, the track-focused RT Race Pro Air and the more sensible, Gore Tex SP Master.
The Race Pro Air, as used by Sam Lowes in Moto2, is constructed from lightweight, wear-resistant perforated microfibre with an over-injected front panel, giving a dynamic style and aggressive look. The Fasten Fit Control internal lacing system, which is linked to the boot lining by a high-tenacity lace, ensures a precise fit and greater sensitivity when riding. The boot is also fitted with a micro-adjustable, quick-release aluminium buckle designed to adapt perfectly to various calf shapes.
The internal lining is Air Tech breathable, soft touch mesh combined with double density foam for superior comfort around the ankle. The boot features the TCX Double Flex Control system – an independent PU ankle frame, which improves front and rear flexibility and offers freedom of movement while riding.
It is available in in white/black/blue, white/red/yellow fluo and black in sizes 38-49 with an RRP of £299.99
On the all-weather front, the SP Master features a soft touch microfibre upper section with increased padding on the front and rear for better comfort and flexibility. The upper gaitor ensures a snug fit around the calf and they fasten using an elastic zip, secured with a wide Velcro band.
For protection, the boots benefit from a Polyurethane Ankle Retention System, heel guard, ergonomic shin plate with iron mesh air intakes and a PU shift pad integrated into the upper section of the boot. There’s an interchangeable toe slider and the footbed is replaceable. The sole is made from a mono compound ultra light rubber with a specially designed grip area.
