BMW launch 'Coverall' one-piece suit

Easy to slip on and off, waterproof and armoured - yours for £420

Visordown Motorcycle News

BMW HAVE released their new 'Coverall' suit, designed to worn over any kind of clothing - including a business suit.

BMW claim the light, modern and comfortable design of the CoverAll is unbeatable. It can be slipped in and out of in a matter of seconds, thanks to a long front zip and two side zips running from hip to ankle - much like Aerostich's existing Roadcrafter one-piece.

BMW say the suit's made using optimum quality materials such as Cordura 500 and a climate membrane allowing moisture to leave the suit freely. Lightweight, removable SC protectors made of visco-elastic foam with good impact absorbing properties are located on the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees while, reflective prints on the shoulders and back allow the rider to be seen when visibility is poor.

BMW claim it's waterproof, too. All the seams are taped, special waterproof zips can be found at the front of the suit and on the legs, where they run from hip to ankle. Waterproof pockets can also be found in the two trouser pockets, as well as on the breast and sleeve of the left lower arm ideal for storing travel items.

The CoverAll Suit will soon be available in BMW Motorrad dealerships priced at £420. It comes in black in unisex sizes from XS to XXXL.

But cheaper than a Roadcrafter or Rukka, and less than the £600-odd I've just given to Hein Gerike for a two piece.

I've never had the top and bottoms wear out at the same time to splash out on both (leathers excluded). Still a perfect idea for me and it would save me loads of time especially when I have a day where I'm out and about.

You're all nuts, £400 on something that a jacket, pair of kevlar jeans and overtrousers would do just as well?

You can pull that lot on over a business suit?  Love to see that.

A decent jacket is over £200, draggin jeans another £100 and proper waterproof overtrousers ( goretex ones ) are another £50...so not much saving and you still have the inconvenience of having to wear that when you stop and get off the bike..

I think for the money it could be a good buy....

i really wish i was a real biker, so i could buy cool clothes like this and all year weather gear and heated grips and winter gloves, boots, thermals and all that type of stuff, i could even buy a winter bike

actually the second road bike is a good point i would like a super moto type i think

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
