The question is how will it handle off road?

Zero launches dual sport DSR Black Forest edition

ZERO Motorcycles has branched into adventure touring territory with its new DSR Black Forest Edition.

The European-exclusive model will boast the longest range of any electric dual sport motorcycle, with a single charge offering 163 city miles or 78 miles at motorway speeds. Based on the standard DSR model and featuring Zero’s direct drive Z-Force powertrain, it makes 70hp and 157Nm of torque and boasts a top speed of 102mph.

In true adventure motorcycle spirit, it features a number of touring accessories, including black aluminium panniers, a touring windscreen and seat, handlebar guards, LED auxiliary lights and a head light protector. Zero’s Charge Tank, which increases charging speed by up to 6 times, is also optional.

And as with the manufacturer’s other models, performance can be customized using the Zero mobile app.

European Managing Director of the brand, Umberto Uccelli, commented: “The Zero Motorcycles DSR ZF14.4 Black Forest Edition is the first model we’ve ever developed to meet the specific demands of Europe’s adventure and touring riders.”

“Our customers have been asking for a model like this for years. Riding a Zero is the most connected way to move through nature. The Zero Motorcycles DSR Black Forest extends this to new, longer, and more fun adventures. We invite you to experience your world for the first time with seamless, silent and pure dual sport propulsion.”

The Zero Motorcycles DSR Black Forest Edition will be available in limited numbers from dealerships in April.
