YAMAHA'S MT-09 Street Rally will be available in dealers around April 2014.
The Street Rally differs from the standard MT-09 with new tank shrouds, a wind deflector and hand guards make it less ‘naked’ than before while the seat is higher and flatter, giving the bike more of a supermoto-style riding position. The result should be improved wind protection at speed but also more leverage to chuck the bike around corners
The good news is that the Street Rally will be built using optional extra parts which you'll be able to buy through your Yamaha dealer. So you could easily convert your existing MT-09 into a Street Rally or pick and choose the parts you want.
Yamaha have said that the price of the Street Rally will be £500 to £600 more than the stock MT-09, meaning it should cost £7,299 when it hits the showrooms around April 2014. Dealers are already taking deposits.
