WITH the EICMA show in Milan only a few weeks away, Ducati has begun its build-up by releasing two teaser videos for its two new Scramblers - the Desert Sled and Cafe Raer.
The Desert Sled is the Scrambler we expect to have some genuine off-road ability. Once we get a proper look at it, we expect to see knobbly tyres and a bash guard under the sump, plus longer travel suspension and other changes to make it suitable for riding off-road, such as wire-spoke wheels.
Could a cafe racer-style Scrambler be the 1100cc addition to the range Ducati hinted at back in February? We think so, but we'll have to wait until Ducati's press conference at Eicma on November 7 to find out.
