Speed Triple R 'Dark'

TRIUMPH have produced 30 Speed Triple R 'Dark' editions.

The bikes have been painted by 8 Ball and are essentially the dripping with exotic Öhlins, PVM and Brembo Speed Triple Rs with bespoke paint, a colour-matched belly pan and fly screen. There are no extra performance parts to increase the already substantial 133bhp output but the bike features other touches like airbrushed logos and a Union Jack flag.

The new machines will be available via the Triumph dealer network from week commencing 18 February, priced at £11,549 OTR, just £200 more than the £11,349 standard model.

If you remove the cheesy flag and red on the bike, it would be smokin!

In the voice of Little Britain. "I don't like it"

Terrible graphics, nasty spray work. Mixing gloss red and satin red?

Sorry that is a no from me!

Reminds me of some of the customised bikes in the Crossbow calendars of the 90s. No taste. No subtlety, or subtlety that is cheesy, gaudy colour combinations and no flair.

Bunch of f'ing moaners. Bike looks fine, worth an extra 200? Sure, but not much more than that.

Almost. I'd like black forks, red rims, black spokes. Then it'd be finished.

Another run out special?

Red subframe looks naff. Bring back the round headlamps and the old spunker would look tip top.

That bike is so ugly it should be kept in the DARK.

I was at a company event at the Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on Wednesday and Triumph had an event in one of the other conference rooms. They offloaded two Speed Triples from a van, one blue, one red and both with a white stripe down the tank. I guess they're going to be special editions too? They didn't seem too happy when Imwandreredmover for a look. Wish I'd taken some photos now as they looked fantastic.
