Triumph Speed Triple special editions

Speed 94 and 94R revealed, plus new colour schemes for the Daytona 675 and Thunderbird range

TRIUMPH has launched two special edition models, the Speed 94 and 94R, based on its Speed Triple range.

The new bikes have been given various styling tweaks over the standard models to celebrate the first Speed Triple rolling off the production line 21 years ago.

The 94 is based on the lower-spec Speed Triple and will be offered in Racing Yellow or Jet Black. Other changes include a subframe painted in a graphite finish, black exhaust silencer wraps, a black filler cap, a colour-matched fly screen, seat cowl and belly pan.

Each 94 also comes with Speed Triple logos in the original 1994 typeface and a commemorative Speed Triple 94 tank-mounted plaque.

The 94R comes with all the same styling tweaks as the 94 but gets fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension, Brembo monobloc brakes and Pirelli Supercorsa tyres, as found on the higher-spec Speed Triple R.

Both machines will be available from April priced at £9,749 for the Speed 94 and £10,999 for the R version.

Triumph also announced it will be offering a number of new colour schemes on its Daytona 675 and Thunderbird range, also available from April.

The Daytona 675 will now be available in a Crystal White and Jet Black combination, as well as a Diablo Red and Matt Silver finish.

The Thunderbird Commander will be offered in a Lithium Flame and Frozen Silver finish. Triumph's Thunderbird LT will be available in a Crystal White and Phantom black finish, and the Thunderbird Storm will get a new Lava Red paint scheme.
