THE first Ducati 1199RS models have arrived in the UK.

The RS model is supplied exclusively for race teams and costs around £80,000.

Pictured on the left are Tim Maccabee, Ducati's UK Managing Director and John Hackett, legendary Ducati tuner and owner of Ducati Coventry and JHP Racing.

JHP will be preparing two 1199RS models for Jentin Doodson Motorsport, which will be competing in British Superbikes. John Hackett will be preparing the engines, which, accord to Ducati, in standard trim put out 195bhp.

The first round is at Brands Hatch on the 7th to 9th of April.

getting more and more like the cartoons every year. But Ducati just do it better dont they? That looks very good. I think the janpanese attempts at the future have been a bit naff to be honest.

For £80,000 you think it would come with a screen.

Look at the pictures on the bottom row - clearly a clear windscreen ;)
Indeed it is included in the £80,000 tag..

Picture of tank, lower back edge, Rust or bubbled paint?

An Aluminum Tank rusting yellow rust imagine that, I bet if they painted that Spring Blue it would be blue rust right.

Nope, mirror image of the spring and suspension...

Whichever way you cut it, it's pretty, or at least I think it is..

looks like the front fairing has hit a car-park barrier

So WTF is this all about ? . . .

It a stunning machine, but, £80 k for a standard bike to be raced in BSB and thats BEFORE it gets the tuning treatment. How much is it going to cost in total to get in into race trim ? ? ?

£80 k must well on the way to a total purchase and build cost for any other bike in BSB ?

Looks suspiciously like Ducati are trying to buy a championship to add value and prestige so they can sell the company . . .
